2027 Elections: Peter Obi Confirms Candidacy Under Labour Party
Peter Obi Reaffirms 2027 Presidential Bid Under Labour Party Abuja, Nigeria – As Nigeria prepares for the 2027 general elections, former Anambra State Governor and 2023 presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has officially reaffirmed his intention to contest for the presidency under the Labour Party (LP).

Obi, who galvanized massive support from youths and reform-driven Nigerians during the 2023 polls, dismissed speculations about a possible defection and assured his supporters of his continued loyalty to the LP.
Reiterating his vision for a “New Nigeria,” Obi emphasized that his agenda remains anchored on transparency, economic revival, job creation, and good governance.
While acknowledging the internal challenges facing the Labour Party, Obi’s fresh declaration is expected to further strengthen the party’s stance as a key opposition force ahead of 2027. He has also been engaged in coalition talks with other opposition groups to build a united front against the ruling party.
For many Nigerians, Obi’s consistency is a symbol of hope for a more accountable and inclusive leadership. His renewed candidacy is anticipated to re-energize his support base, popularly known as the Obidient Movement, as the political atmosphere begins to intensify.
